SAP ABAP Consultant (Developer)

*Location: Flexible / Remote within EU (must be based in Europe and comfortable with remote collaboration)

We’re a remote-first company employing candidates based and eligible to work within the European Union.

While most of our collaboration happens online, we are part of international projects, so occasional business travel to client sites (within or outside the EU) may be required.

• Working as an SAP ABAP Developer, delivering solutions for a diverse portfolio of external clients across international and local markets 

• Designing, developing and maintaining SAP ABAP solutions for external clients in implementation and support projects 

• Analyzing business requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions 

• Developing and enhancing SAP integrations and interfaces (e.g. OData, REST, SOAP, RFC/BAPI, IDoc) 

• Investigating production issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing sustainable fixes 

• Working with existing SAP standard and custom developments, including debugging, optimization and refactoring activities 

• Collaborating with functional consultants, business stakeholders and project teams throughout the solution lifecycle 

• Providing technical guidance, sharing best practices and supporting less experienced developers when needed 

• Contributing to solution design, effort estimation, code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

• 4+ years of commercial SAP ABAP development experience, with the ability to independently design, develop, test and support solutions throughout the full development lifecycle 

• Strong ABAP and ABAP OO skills, including clean code practices, reusable object-oriented design, enhancements and application architecture 

• Hands-on experience with SAP integrations and APIs, including development, troubleshooting and support of interfaces based on OData, REST, SOAP, RFC/BAPI or IDoc technologies 

• Ability to independently analyze business requirements, understand existing SAP standard and custom solutions, and translate them into sustainable technical designs 

• Strong debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills, including work with large and complex codebases 

• Experience in effort estimation, technical solution design, code reviews and maintaining development quality standards 

• Ability to take ownership of development topics and work with minimal supervision 

• Continuous learning mindset and ability to quickly acquire knowledge in new areas 

• Communicative skills in English (B2/C1 or above) with the ability to work effectively in an international environment 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams) 

• Willingness to travel occasionally if required

• Experience with SAP technical frameworks such as BOPF or PPF 

• Experience with SAP UI technologies (FPM, Web Dynpro, UI5, Web IDE) 

• Eperience with forms (Adobe Forms, SmartForms) 

• Knowledge of other programming languages 

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or practical experience applying AI/ML concepts in SAP projects 

• Additional languages such as Polish, German, or French are a strong advantage but not a requirement 

• Category B driving license
